Well we might not have had quite the year of football we were expecting at KUFC, but it was an eventful one nonetheless.

We have had many achievements along the way and even managed to squeeze a trip to Norwich for our Sunday U11s before Covid hit and halted our plans for an Easter escape to Spain for a number of teams.

Our Football for all has grown steadily under the stewardship of Mick Kennedy and we were fortunate to be able to hold a mini league for the players in the Summer.Sorcha, one of our fantastic FFA players was happy to pose for a picture with our guest Niall Quinn.

We also hosted the Irish International Amputee team in Ballycullen and when regulations allowed, they enjoyed a practice match against some of our Managers. We remain committed to widening the opportunities for sport for all.

We were very proud to join in the 20x20 campaign raising the profile of women in sport and managed to get our oldest girl player Alexandra and our youngest, Indie together for a photo. Our girls division also ran a very successful fundraising event. Our Under 11 girl’s Manager Amanda, organised a 200 miles in 6 weeks target which culminated in Amanda completing the virtual marathon. Huge credit to all the girls and thankyou to all who donated and supported them.

Lastly, our academy , once again sponsored by Sherry FitzGerald made a welcome return in September with our first girl’s only section. Our little ladies donned their pink bibs and took to the astro like professionals.

We hope we will be able to return to our pitches in the near future and have all our kids back playing where they belong. In the meantime, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy 2021.📷
